One of the cool things about being a freelance musician is all the interesting places I get to play. Earlier this week I played for the opening reception of the Berger Collection at the Denver Art Museum. The Bergers collected English art from the 1500-1800s, and the’ve donated it to the DAM. Coincidentally, I played at Mrs. Berger’s home many years ago when she opened it for a benefit, the event was an exclusive look at this monumental collection. Here are some pictures of the paintings that I found particularly beautiful or intriguing. It’s an enormous collection spanning three large rooms of paintings.
